2011 Hendies - The Excrement Eight

Daniel Ray Herrera Came Up Short in the Sewer Sixteen

No real upsets last round. Here are your matchups to determine who'll be facing off in the Feces Four.

Kinney Division:

1. C. McGehee
7. J. Wilson

Franklin Division

1. W. Nieves
11. C. Hart

Bando Division

8. Y. Betancourt
6. Z. Braddock

Taylor Division

8. M. Kotsay
11. S. Marcum

I don't know for sure why Herrera is throwing right-handed, but I think he decided it's better to just throw from the right side rather than throw a screwball, a pitch that hasn't existed in baseball for 40 years for a reason. I guess that's the Cinderella story.

Introducing Your 2011 Hendy Awards!

We begin this baseball offseason as we do every one, by declaring our most hated Brewer. You should all know the rules by now. If you don't, go back and look at previous years' voting. Or just look in the comments and see how we're doing it.

The Brewers did only one thing right this season - they played exactly 48 players, which gives us an even player pool to have this tournament style hate-fest.

Here are the brackets:

Seed Divisions

Kinney Franklin Bando Taylor

1 C. McGehee W. Nieves C. Counsell E. Almonte
8 K. Loe J. Hairston Y. Betancourt M. Kotsay
9 J. Kottaras L. Hawkins F. Rodriguez M. Estrada

4 T. Green M. Rivera E. Farris M. Maldonado
5 L. Schafer M. Fiers M. McClendon B. Kintzler
12 R. Braun P. Fielder Y. Gallardo Z. Grienke

2 F. Lopez D.R. Herrera S. Mitre M. Gamel
7 J. Wilson T. Dillard T. Saito C. Gomez
10 R. Wolf N. Morgan J. Axford J. Lucroy

3 J. Reed M. Stetter M. DiFelice B. Carroll
6 E. De La Cruz S. Green Z. Braddock B. Boggs

Holliday Homers, but Brewers Take Game 4

It's starting to get interesting. Discuss Brewers postseason here.

I'll get it started by introducing our first topic in the comment section...will Mark Kockspray start at third base for the Brewers tonight in St. Louis?

Packers 49, Broncos 23

Rodgers' stats for the year... 1,325 yards (2nd), 9.4 yards per attempt (2nd), 331 YPG (4th), 12 TDs (2nd) and 124.6 QB rating (1st by a significant margin) all with 2 rushing TDs (the most on the Packers) on a 4-0 team.  He's running away with the MVP four games in.

Clearly captain neckbeard pipecleaner arm and the Broncos were no match for the league's best offense.

Also, since Brady Quinn and AJ Hawk were playing against each other again, television viewers were again subjected to seeing their centaur sister and wife respectively, Laura Quinn Hawk (pictured above).

The Packers roll down to Atlanta to salt the remains of the scorched Superdome earth this Sunday night.
