Packers Face Toughest Test to Date

The Death Star showed off its pinpoint accuracy during the final 58 seconds of Sunday's game.

Suh claims Goodell set him up, but everybody knows Donkey Kong is the one that gets stuck with bananas.

This packers run is teetering on historical greatness, they're presently 5th all time with this current 18-0 streak. It's also important to note that there is a possibility that 4/5 other NFC playoff teams could be opponents already played this year and two could come from their own division. People can say what they want about the Packers strength of schedule this season (that's what happens when you don't win your division and draw the AFC West the next year) but the only playoff contenders they haven't faced this year are the Niners and Cowboys.

Also, I've started to wonder about the Packers depth and recent successs with young, undrafted players. While guys like Sam Shields are completely overlooked raw talent, guys like DJ Smith arent. And yet, in a road game against a playoff contender, the team was more than happy to hand over both a starting job and headset communications responsibilities to an undersized, sixth round draft pick who was playing D2 football at this time last year.

Granted, few things about the Packers defensive performance by players with hair shorter than ten inches could be described as commendable last Sunday, but at what point do you credit the coaching staff and their scheme with the success of the team's next man up, plug-in and play abilities? This wasn't Von Miller taking over as a starter calling defensive plays, it was a guy making the league minimum who played for college football's doormat a year ago.

I'm sure Packers position coaches will get picked off soon enough and I don't want to take away from Ted Thompson's "finds," but it's becoming more and more apparent that this team is incredibly well-coached and well prepared.

It thus comes as little surprise that when games are on the line, like they were against the Giants, Chargers, Saints and a handful of others, that this team confidently does what it takes to just win games.

I can't believe that you forgot to add the Shirtless Men Aficionados label. Fixed.

I think the whole world is waiting for this blog's reaction to the Ryan Braun "getting better at baseball" situation. I find the whole thing unpleasant, so I'm not going to talk about it. That's what makes this blog so great. We just ignore what we don't like.

Anyway, can't wait for this week's Packers post.

"What do you mean the 2009 and 2010 Brewers seasons never happened?"

"Well, they didn't get discussed on my blog. I'm pretty sure if they had happened, we would have talked about them at least a little"
