Ok, NOW This Is Getting Enough Attention: Counsell Earns 1st HIAWDA
Even Bill Bergen thinks Craig Counsell has been appalling at the dish this year. The month of July did not treat the crafty defensive specialist very well, as he put up this line: 34PA, .000/.030/.030, 1R, 1RBI(albeit a game winner), 0BB/4K
Fortunately Counsell didn't get enough bats to derail this team, as it enjoyed a successful July. And, with the addition of JerHairJr, Craig will probably see the field less and less in the last few months of the season. When Rickie heals (hopefully HGH-aided) and is ready to play, I don't see how Counsell still has a roster spot...
I have never been a Counsell hater, but when you are on the brink of historic futility, you need to be properly rewarded for it. Happy HIAWDA, Craig!

He certainly did make the most of every opportunity he had in July. He's earned this.
