Brewers 20-Game Packs - Opening Day Tickets

For those who are unaware, we are planning on buying 20-game packs to get Opening Day tickets. We will be doing the Fan's Choice Package, where we can pick any 20 games for the entire season. We will be buying Terrace Reserve tickets, which are $200. As far as I know, there is no limit to the amount of Marquee Games that we can purchase. I don't know if Marquee Games increase the price of the package, nor do I know if there is some sort of ridiculous $5000 service charge/tax on the tickets. Regardless, here are the games we are planning on getting:

1) Friday Arpil 4 (SFG) - Opening Day
2) Saturday April 26 (FLA) 6:00
3) Saturday May 10 (STL) 2:45
4) Saturday May 31 (HOU) 6:00
5) Sunday June 1 (HOU) 1:00 - Ryan Braun Bobblehead
6) Friday June 13 (MIN) 7:00
7) Saturday June 14 (MIN) 6:00
8) Sunday June 15 (MIN) 1:00

9) Saturday June 21 (BAL) 6:00
10) Saturday July 12 (CIN) 6:00
11) Saturday July 26 (HOU) 6:00
12) Sunday July 27 (HOU) 1:00
13) Monday July 28 (CHC) 7:00
14) Tuesday July 29 (CHC) 7:00
15) Wednesday July 30 (CHC) 7:00

16) Saturday August 9 (WSH) 6:00
17) Saturday August 23 (PIT) 6:00
18) Friday September 26 (CHC) 7:00
19) Saturday September 27 (CHC) 12:00
20) Sunday September 28 (CHC) 1:00

The Marquee Games are in bold. There is an additional Marquee Game, a Thursday afternoon game on July 31 against the Cubs, but we won't be getting that. If we get charged more for the Marquee Games, the package will probably cost $300. The resale value on many of these games will be much higher than the face value. An additional benefit of getting the 20-game pack is that we'd have priority for tickets if hell freezes over and the Brewers make the playoffs.

Anyone interested in joining this venture should indicate so in the comments section. If anyone thinks that we alter the games in the plan, we are welcome to suggestions. Ideally, we will make the purchase next weekend or the weekend after. I will want money in advance from people.

I like most of the choices, but I'd prefer to substitute a couple Sunday game for the weekday games against Cincinnati and Arizona.

At least July 27th vs. Houston. Quite likely we'll end up going anyway.

My rationale in avoiding the sunday afternoon games is that we'd all be at the games the night before, the Brewers probably will have lost the night before, and no one will want to go. I tried to spread the games out, about one every two weeks - realizing we will probably sell every one of the Cubs games and at least one of the Twins' games. There wasn't really any logic in the two weekday night games I picked, and if people want sunday games we can pick them. We could always get tickets to the bobblehead games and sell them too. Just a thought.

Just noticed that was the birthday game. Yeah, we can take that one. We can replace the other weekday night game with any game of your or anyone else's choice.

Exploriated? Are you kidding me?

I might be the only person on the planet that just caught Hilary use this word during the New Hampshire debate. What the hell!!!!!!

Someone needs to seriously push through the constitutional amendment of having a penis as a prerequisite for taking the oval office.

What a joke these debates are! Liberal debates are about as useless as watching two women try to create life.

The Redskins should have won that game, but it looks like the Jags are going to cancel out that PBR, Jammers. I know I probably just jinxed myself, but it had to be stated.

By the way, who in the fuck is this mutombo character that keeps posting? I keep forgetting to ask whenever I get any of you guys on the phone.

I love the seemless transition from political discussion to NFL talk. I'd actually describe liberal debates as the most depressing thing ever shown on TV. It's like watching 7 suicidal people discussing why they should commit suicide. "Global warming, recession, oil prices, Iraq, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria!"

Any thoughts on the games today? I take the Chargers big and the Buccs in a close game. I never bet on the Giants.

Also, how much does Jeff Garcia's dad look like Jeff Garcia when the lesions are all over his face?

I also like the Chargers big, and I think the other is essentially a toss-up, but should feature some of the worst playoff football in the last 15 years. One of the teams should have been forced to relinquish their playoff spot to cleveland, who would have at least been entertaining to watch.

What are people's thoughts on Seattle? I'd be very worried had we not gotten the bye this weekend, but 1 and 2 seeds win 80%+ of their divisional round games. That, and I think I speak for all of us when I say I'm looking forward to the return of Matt 'We're going to take the ball and we're gonna score' Hasselback. I actually think it'd be pretty cool if he handled the situation in some sort of self deprecating manner, but I don't expect much out of that loser.

Congrats to whoever punched Shannon Sharpe in the left eye. That thing looks like Balboa's in the 12th round of the Drago fight.

Seattle had no business winning that game yesterday. They're turning out to be the trendy pick with the talking heads to win the conference. Hasselsnatch is very overrated.

As far as the tickets, K-beast and I are both on board.

I agree with BCB about switching the weekday tickets to Sundays. The 27th of July is one, I propose we move the other to either the first Sunday home game or a Sunday in the second half of the season.

Any more word on the rules about selecting games, pricing, service charges, etc.? This is probably an order that should be worked out over the phone with a ticket rep to iron out the details (i.e. avoiding potential $5000 service charge on the web). I'll volunteer to take care of the ordering if Condy doesn't want to. I have a lot less going on these days.

So far the count stands at 7 tickets:

BCB
Condy
Steve
Slash
K-Beast
Triebs
BCCCups

E, are you in or out?

I did some investigative work yesterday, and while I was unable to select individual game tickets, when I got to the credit card screen for the pick your own package, the total cost for 8 sets was 1630. That's 200 a ticket and a 30 dollar service charge (which is less than it was for my single pearl jam ticket at summerfest, but that's neither here nor there). Further, they can't change the price on us once we've purchased them and then are selecting games, so I don't think we have to pay a premium on Marquee games. I say that with >90% certainty.

9 game packs go on sale tomorrow (link below). There is a weekend package that includes opening day. At least two of the games fall on wedding weekends though, which presents an issue. 10 games for $126/seat and sell the remaining two tickets or 20 games for $200 and sell all/most Cubs games? With the ability to choose marquee games and potentially sell the cubs games at a profit, I'd still vote for the 20 game pack. Thoughts?

I still very much vote for the 20 pack. Ideally, we can buy these very soon, because I get the impression that Opening Day tickets are going to go very fast after the 9-game packs go on sale. What are the final thoughts? I'm thinking E wants in for a total of 8. If it really is just $200 regardless of the premium games and we have a total of 8, then I won't require people to pay me in advance and I'll buy these things online tomorrow.

I would like people to pay me soon, though. And I also don't want to be in charge of selling the games we don't want. Who wants to be in charge of that?

I can do that. Do we want to put them up for sale right away, or closer to the day of the seri?
