Dominic James Returning to Marquette
It looks like Dominic James (better known as the one shitty player from the above picture) will be returning to Marquette for his junior season. I don't know whether to be happy or disappointed. I suppose he'll take some media attention and pressure off of McTurnover, Matthews and Barro. Perhaps the jump shot will come around.
Is there any question as to who wins the HIAWDA tomorrow?

I got this from FJM, but I thought it was hilarious enough to share. Everyone check out the URL for Kevin Youkilis's BP Player Card page.
Ease off James. We get it, you like to harp on the fact that he's not Jordan despite the way people have given him credit.
But the facts are quite obvious concerning his impact on the program. Since he's been there they have been winning and on the national scope. I'm happy he's back; and if you can't see that he's an impact and championship-calibur player, then I feel sorry for you.
This negative BS has finally irritated me to a boiling point. Please stop.
Wow. Sorry. James certainly has the raw athleticism and potential to carry the team to a Big East Championship. There's a lot of talent on the team, despite the lack of much of a front court. But every game he shoots 4-17 from the field in is a game that he's a liability, not an asset.
There's also a certain amount of cynicism in every comment, so try to read between the lines. I thought it would be funny to post a picture with Mike Kinsella, James, and Dan Fitzgerald and then imply that Kinsella and Fitzgerald were in some way extraordinary talents. I guess the joke was too obscure. In my opinion, it is hilarious. Kinsella is the funniest person in the world.
Let's not let MAndrew I see the Youkilis thing.
i got the joke. it was funny. i just dislike how the james bashing up there has gotten a bit over played.
there's more to the game than just shooting. 4-17 is indeed a lousy shooting night, but juames brings defensive intensity and presure along with his ability to penatrate the defense and create for other teammates. james had several stellar efforts last season despite never really recovering from his prolonged shooting slump. i fail to see how losing a player like him would be beneficial to the program.
Sorry if i jumped at you on this topic, but it struck a chord. Maybe it has something to do with Dunn's exit from Cincy and the inability of Reds fans to appreciate a player like him.
To Jimmy's credit, my initial thought upon seeing that picture was that James' presence devalues an otherwise rare and beautiful picture of two titans.
To Carlson's credit, Jimmy takes a cautious-to-pessimistic approach to his sports teams. I, for one, appreciate this, as it keeps my unbridled optimism in check. However, outside the context of a joke, calling James 'the shitty one' may be taking things too far.
Looks like Jeff Green is going pro. This is good for both MU and ND hoops.
If Mbekwe is the real deal, this team will be very dangerous and could make a deep run. If he's just another run of the mill guy, we'll suffer a similar fate as last year's limpdick finish.
Good words.
