April 15th Gameday

Brewers (Ohka) at Mets (Trachsel) right now

Another typical stellar start for the Crew...already an out on the basepaths.

Man, how many times is Dick Weeks gonna get pegged at the plate??? Way to take another one for the team! How about Moeller finally doing something right! ;)

How many errors is Dick Weeks going to have this season? This is annoying.

Yeah, I take back all positive comments of Dick. LEARN HOW TO THROW A DAMN BALL!!! And Ohka, for the love of god, make sure you get ONE out! Oh, I am done with this game. Time to go run my errands.

In all, a very good game for the crew. Couple monkeys off backs today, including Jenkins getting that first home run of 06. We'll ignore that it was against walking home run factory Darren Oliver and congratulate Jenks just the same. We roared ahead of both the Royals and Marlins in the runs scored department today. Ohka did well with a tighter strike zone than we saw yesterday. Usually he gets frustrated by not being able to hit the corners (see last game) and errors in the field (Weeks), but he held up well. Prince still isn't there with the power, but at least he's not striking out ever single time he steps to the plate. And while defense at 1b isn't nearly as important at first as second, Prince is looking more than his defensively challenged counterpart in the field. That can't hold up, but we can hope. Trotting sheets out there for the first time, which should be received with cautious optimism. You'll notice it usually takes him a time or two on the mound to get going after a stint on the dl, most notably last year after the vertigo thing. I'm not saying a qaulity start isn't out of the question, especially considering how he's performed in AAA, but the Mets are hardly a AAA lineup. Just food for thought.

Well that was refreshing. It was nice to come back from my errands to see that we had finished this one off nicely and the circus in the infield had stopped.

Missed my first game of the year. Too bad it was probably the best game they played. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the outs on the basepaths meter is at 7, correct? There was just one in this game and none yesterday, right?
